Introduction: Quality of life and fear of disease affect each other. Quality of life means the perceived well-being of people in their daily life and is influenced by various factors. Fear of disease and infection is also considered as a behavioral indicator affecting health. Survey the quality of life and fear of covid-19 in medical students who directly faced this phenomenon during the covid-19 pandemic is very important. Changes in the quality of life can affect their clinical role and professional activity. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical study conducted on 250 medical students through multi-stage random sampling method. In order to collect data, demographic information questionnaires, the fear of covid-19 questionnaire, and the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire were used. All data were analyzed with SPSS ver.24 software. Findings: The majority of students (136 people, 54.4%) were female. The mean and SD of the fear of covid-19 research units was 13.8 ± 2.36. The mean and SD of the quality of life of the research units was 52.86 ± 4.21. General health had the highest score with a mean and SD of 74.19 ± 12.70. The Pearson correlation test showed a significant relationship between the fear of covid-19 and the the quality of life. The mean and standard deviation of the fear of covid-19 and the quality of life of the research units based on their educational level had a significant difference (p ≤ 0.05). Discussion: Our study showed that the fear of covid-19 caused a significant decrease in the vitality of medical students and affected their quality of life. Further study is suggested in order to investigate more deeply the issue of fear of covid-19 and quality of life in students
