ABSTRACT Background and Aim:: Childbearing and population growth are important issues that have been considered in religious teachings, health, and population. In the last two decades, policymakers' concern about the country's declining population growth has led to the proposal of various plans and policies to change this trend. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Law on Protection of the Family and Youth of the Population and the awareness of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences employees of the provisions of this law. Methods and Materials:The present study was descriptive study that was conducted in 2024 among the personnel of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences. 302 people were selected using the convenience sampling method. Two questionnaire was used to examine the implementation and effectiveness of the provisions of the family and youth of the population Protection Law. Then, independent samples t-test and analysis of variance were used for data analysis. Results:There was no significant relationship between the implementation and effectiveness of the provisions of the law on family and youth protection and having or not having children, job, gender, education and marital status. Conclusion: In line with the practical suggestions of researchers in countries with low fertility rates and of course, considering the cultural conditions of Iranian society, it is necessary to implement government incentive policies to increase the population, solve the problem of youth employment, and facilitate family life for women.
