The method of this research was quasi-experimental pre-test post-test with control group and had a follow-up stage.The aim of this study was to explain the effectiveness of Teaching cognitive, behavioral, and emotional self-regulatory strategies training on general health and marital satisfaction in The couple referred to neighborhood Municipality, District 3, Tehran.The statistical population of this study was all couples in the neighborhood who had marital disputes and were approved by counselors in 1398-1399.First, the couple went to neighborhood. According to the inclusion criteria (1 to 5 years after their marriage; with a diploma or higher; both employed) and the exclusion criteria (people who do not want to participate in the research), 30 people were divided into 2 equal groups and The lottery verdict of one group (15 people) was determined as the experimental group and the other group (15 people) as the control group.General health and marital satisfaction questionnaires were used to collect data.The independent variable (Teaching cognitive self-regulatory strategies) was performed on the experimental group during 8 sessions of 90 minutes.the follow-up phase, ie one month after the post-test, the dependent variable was performed only on the experimental group.After collecting research data, information and results were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (analysis of covariance).The results showed that Teaching cognitive self-regulatory strategies is effective on general health and marital satisfaction of couples and has a good durability over time
