Context and purpose:
The issue of health, especially mental health, always had a special place in human life and it has been one of his main concerns. From the point of view of the Qur'an, greed "haloo" is expressed as an inherent human trait, the first factor that threatens the health of the soul; This inherent characteristic makes a person anxious and trembling when dealing with evil, and when good comes to him, he is caught in miserliness.
Shaking of the soul and getting caught in the trap of greed takes both souls out of balance and becomes a cause of illness. The Holy Quran considers prayer as the best way to maintain a person's soul in a balanced state, and if it changes, it can return to balance.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the level of adherence to prayer and its effects on mental health and human dominance over anxiety based on reading Surah Ma'araj.
Working method:
This research was done in a library method and to collect research, in addition to referring to interpretative writings, other writings and researches were also used in this field.
Findings:
The findings of the research showed that, based on the reading of Surah Ma'araj, prayer is the first factor influencing the health of the soul. Because prayer, by creating a change in the thoughts and attitudes of the worshiper, lays the foundation for preventing the imbalance of the soul; On the other hand, it cures the diseases of the soul by overcoming the motivations and inactions, and finally, prayer is the source of the flourishing of moral virtues that play a fundamental role in the health of the soul.
Conclusion:
The results of the research show that adherence to prayer continuously (as explained in the text) is the fundamental condition for the effect of prayer on the health of the soul, and the greater the adherence to prayer, the more blessings it will have. Therefore, by stating the benefits of prayer in educational programs, the background and platform should be provided to motivate everyone to pray so that more people are led towards this duty and enjoy its benefits.
