Aims: The Islamic Revolution has aimed to Islamize personal and social aspects of life. The Supreme Leader highlighted the importance of lifestyle in the second step of the revolution. This research aims to understand students' familiarity and opinions on the Iranian Islamic lifestyle model.
Materials and methods: This study was a descriptive research conducted among students at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in 2022. Data was gathered through written questionnaires for self-reporting. Sampling was done using simple random sampling with a probability proportional to the size. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 16 software.
Findings: 39.1% of students had very little familiarity with Iranian Islamic lifestyle, while 21.4% had little familiarity. The belief in strengthening family relationships through promoting the Iranian Islamic lifestyle received the highest average score among the participants. The students obtained 61% of the maximum obtainable score for the opinion questionnaire regarding Iranian Islamic lifestyle. Previous familiarity with the pillars of Iranian Islamic lifestyle and participation in extracurricular activities were found to be the most significant factors influencing students' views on Iranian Islamic lifestyle.
Conclusion: The results of this study offer important insights for university cultural planners. It is recommended that interventions be implemented to increase students' familiarity with the core of Iranian Islamic lifestyle, such as organizing training sessions during cultural hours. This can be beneficial in promoting this lifestyle through extracurricular activities.
