In order to conduct the research, pre-test and post-test methods with a control group used. The statistical population in this study includes all married employees of Hakim Sabzevari University in Sabzevar. The number of married staff of this university was 150. Regular random sampling performed sampling. In this method, the researcher calculates the sampling distance instead of using a list of random numbers. Accordingly, since in this study, the population includes 150 couples, and we intend to select 34 couples, the sampling distance calculated to be 4.41. For this purpose, the pre-test performed first. The pre-test performed with the aim of first examining the level of marital satisfaction and positive feelings towards the spouse in couples in order to determine the rate of change in satisfaction and positive feelings in couples after teaching the basics of tolerance. The basis for selecting couples to enter the tolerance training course, teams who have obtained a score above the average in the general health test (GHQ) and the selection criteria for leaving the class, couples absent for more than two sessions. During this period, the couples of the experimental group provided with counselling services in this field with the help of family counsellors. The experimental group then receives six 90-minute sessions of teaching the philosophical foundations of tolerance as a group and twice a week with daily exercises and homework. However, the control group does not receive any training.
Results: The results of Mankova analysis on the mean of post-test scores of positive feelings for the spouse and marital satisfaction of the experimental and control subjects with pre-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups terms of dependent variables. Therefore, there is a significant difference between the two groups in at least one dependent variable. To find out the difference, two one-way analysis of variance performed in Mancoe text. There was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of dependent variables. Conclusion: The present study showed that teaching the basics of tolerance and tolerance had increased positive feelings towards the spouse and marital satisfaction.
