The relationship between stress and spirituality in students of Shahid Beheshti University during the COVID-19 pandemic

Background and Aim: spirituality can be understood as a search for the sacred, a process through which people seek to discover, hold on to, and, when necessary, transform whatever they hold sacred in their lives (Sena, 2021). The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between stress and spirituality of Shahid Beheshti University students during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Methods: The statistical population of this research was all undergraduate students of Shahid Beheshti University. The sample obtained from available sampling was 83 female students who answered the questionnaires online. Beck et al.'s (1990) anxiety questionnaire and Palutzian and Ellison's (1982) spiritual health questionnaire were the two questionnaires of this research. SPSS-26 software was used for data analysis in two parts of descriptive and inferential statistics.
Result: The results indicated that there is an inverse and significant relationship between the variable of anxiety and existential health (-0.531), as well as the relationship between the variable of anxiety and religious health. (-0.295)
Conclusion: The results of this research showed that there was an inverse and significant relationship between spirituality and anxiety in female students of Shahid Beheshti University.
